Holmes Mill Wedding Photographer

Relaxed & natural elegant documentary style

Hi, and welcome!

I’m well known throughout the North West and this was my first time at the chic and quirky Holmes Mill in Clitheroe.

Beautiful moments

Your wedding day at Holmes Mill will be incredible from start to finish, as you prepare, take your marriage vows and through to your first dance.

My day will be ensuring you have the most beautifully captured moments to remember it by.

Relaxed approach

You’ve chosen a beautiful wedding venue and my natural documentary style will complement this while ensuring that you and your guests enjoy your wedding day without feeling like your day is taken over by photography.

Michelle & Graham

I was happy to join Michelle & Graham for their special day at Holmes Mill. My day with them started at the church for a beautiful and fun-filled wedding ceremony. The vicar was an absolute hoot! He had such a fantastic sense of humour, and that suited the couple and their guests. Soon after, we went to a tiny park next door for the important group and couple photographs.

Spirits were high as we left for Holmes Mill and I got to experience the amazing Engine Room – a truly unique feature! I enjoyed capturing their guests milling around enjoying themselves, before it was time for more photographs of the couple, after which they finally joined their guests for the remainder of the day.

In their own words

“Phil photographed our wedding this week. He was exactly what we wanted. He captured our group shots quickly and quietly so that we could enjoy as much time with our guests as possible. I can’t wait to see the photos! Thanks Phil!

A few photos from their day

If I’m with you all day for your wedding, I’ll click my shutter around 4000 times from morning to evening – but don’t worry, you won’t get that many! I’m just trying to capture the perfect moments for you.

What am I likely to capture?

Common questions

Above all … fun, Fun, FUN!

I really want you to enjoy your wedding photography, and having me join you on your wedding day. Gone are the stuffy approaches to photography, and in is laughter and love!

Most of the day I’m in the background documenting your wedding day, but I’m a confident individual, so I’ll chat to your guests to put them at ease and we’ll share giggles during your couple photographs.

The end photographs will be elegant, well composed and framed and show how much love there was for you, and between you.

Wedding days are usually around 10 to 11 hours.

This is usually 2-3 hours before the ceremony to half an hour after the first dance. But if something exciting is happening later on, I’ll not ditch you … and I always check that we’ve finished everything before I leave.

After years of photographing weddings, I’ve developed a new sense; knowing which photos will matter to you.

I find the right amount is something over 400 photos for a full day of photography. They’re all delivered in high resolution, and not watermarked.

If you would like one, you can also opt for a beautiful bespoke wedding album after the wedding.. but I find it’s better to see and feel your photos before deciding on this.

Of course you’d like to put a face to a name, and the same for me. I want to make sure I’m the right photographer for you.

I live near Warrington in Cheshire, and you’re encouraged to visit so we can get to know each other. If you can’t, we can make use of technology and do a FaceTime or Skype call.

For now, please get in touch by email or phone.
