Inn at Whitewell wedding photography
Rachel & Martyn chose the traditional and personable Inn at Whitewell for their wedding. Offering a marquee overlooking the river, beautiful views and excellent food, I was sure they’d have a fantastic day!
Rachel was already at the Inn as I arrived. Sadly, the weather wasn’t fantastic, but there was no dampening of spirits and smiles were all around in the suite as the girls had their makeup and hair finished. This is one of my favourites sections of the day as I use my reportage photography skills to naturally capture the action.
I also took the opportunity to artistically capture Rachels wedding details (wedding dress, shoes and flowers), as well as the ceremony room which has been adorned with photographs of the couple.
Martyn was donning his suit in a room close by and soon made his way down to his guests, who were eagerly awaiting the entrance of the bride. She looked so happy ask she walked down the aisle to her (slightly tearful) groom. The first sight of a bride has moved many a groom to tears..
A few moment later they were exchanging rings under the watchful eye of Rachels dad and soon afterwards it was official!
As they walked back up the aisle as man and wife, their guests cheered and then followed them through for hugs and congratulations. They relaxed for a while and caught up with friends and family before I took them for their couple portraits.
The Inn has some fantastic locations for indoor wedding photography if needed.
All too soon though we were soon making our way into the marquee for the wedding breakfast, with the claps and cheers of the guests all around.
A heartfelt set of speeches followed (with a few more tears) to the applause of the guests who lapped up the jokes and rivalry from the best man, while I used my documentary wedding photography style to capture it naturally. As the official section of their day came to a close, they cut the wedding cake and performed a first dance before being joined by their guests.
