Reportage Wedding Photographer

UK & International modern & natural documentary wedding imagery

Whether you choose to have a wedding in London, close to me in the North West, elsewhere in the UK, or at your favourite destination abroad, I will gladly join you to capture the most meaningful moments in my unique fine-art style wedding photography.

One emotion at a time

Photographs provoke emotions, through content, composition & light.

These are the tools I use to represent each feeling at your wedding: creatively, elegantly and with meaning to you.

Natural photography

After more than a decade as a photojournalist, caring for the wedding photographs of over two-hundred couples, I’m still elated when I unobtrusively capture a compelling moment which you’ll treasure.

Living your day with you

I’m very involved in every wedding day I photograph; it allows me to see the day as it truly is and document it both warmly and honestly.

Groups, details and couple photos?

Most couples I work for still would like to receive a set of relaxed group photographs, artistic wedding details and beautiful couple portraits.

If you’d rather not, that’s fine. You just need to let me know.

These are the tools I use to represent each feeling at your wedding; creatively, elegantly and most importantly with meaning to you, both now and in the future.

Fashion background

I’ve worked with top international fashion agencies such as IMG to produce iconic photographs.

The approach a learned influences my wedding photography greatly; I see photographs differently.

Documentary or reportage or photojournalistic photography are similar but not identical. For the purposes of wedding photography though I use them interchangeably.

They all refer to natural photography with minimal or zero intervention in the day – just letting the day flow and photographing moments as they happen.

My own view is that some intervention is worthwhile in order that you receive the most beautiful set of photographs.

However, you won’t ever find me asking for cheesy or silly poses; sophisticated is my style.

Sophisticated & natural fine-art photography would describe it well.

Most of the day I try to tell the story of the couple and the immediate wedding party.

I will spend time photographing guests, but my main focus is on you.

My photography is unusual in the documentary market since it has a luxurious and fine-art feel. I’ve taken inspiration from several styles of photography to produce something unique for the couples.

I’m not a person who likes to stand far away with a long lens.

Instead, I get involved in the day with you. I try to live it from your perspective, close to the action.

I find it creates photographs which have the deepest meaning for you.

My usual wedding day is 10 or 11 hours; from 2-3 hours before the ceremony to half to one hour after the first dance.

If there’s a need for more time, I can provide that.

Most definitely!

When taking couple photographs, I understand you need some help with ideas, so I’ll suggest some basic ideas and then allow you to interact with each other, since that will produce the most natural result.

You’ll receive 400+ high resolution un-watermarked photos. Each photo is delivered in colour and black & white, so you’ll always have the photo you love in the style you prefer.

You may also choose an album if you would like one.

This happens a lot! It really doesn’t matter where you are.

Typically we’d organise a skype call, or if you don’t have skype there are plenty of other options.

Weddings are priced completely individually.

So please get in touch to discuss your day.

I have the simplest process.

You fill in a quick form and pay the retainer invoice that’s sent to you, usually online using a card. And then you’re done!
