Sandhole Oak Barn Wedding Photography
Rachael & Tom chose Sandhole Oak Barn for their marriage. The family run Cheshire based venue has been host to weddings since 2005 and offers a beautiful outdoor ceremony underneath the Clock Tower.
Rachel began her day with the important bridal preparation in the comfortable surroundings of the family’s Cheshire home, with the wedding dress, shoes and flowers waiting patiently for their moment.
Rachel had hired a vintage bus to transport guests and soon it was time for her and the bridesmaids to make their way to the Church.
Soon they were walking down the aisle of the beautiful Altrincham Church to the waiting groom, who was overjoyed to see his soon-to-be wife.
After exchanging wedding rings and signing the register they ready to leave as husband and wife. After celebrations with guests and confetti on the lawn, they were ready to leave for the reception. The sun was out in force on this July day and the blue sky with scattered clouds make the Barn and lake look especially stunning. As guests arrived, the couple made their way to join them in their romantic Camper Van.
More hugs, smiles, canapes and fine-art documentary photos followed, as I captured the spirit of their day and the fun which was a constant theme for their wedding. As the afternoon wore on, guests made their way into the barn for the couples entrance, riotous speeches and wedding breakfast. After dinner, the after eight mints game came out!
Rachel and Tom had chosen to listen to my advice and have their couple portraits early in the evening, rather than the afternoon, when the light was absolutely perfect. They looked very much in love and were so happy to have a few moments to themselves.
As they rejoined their guests, the last few important official duties were enjoyed, as they cut the cake and danced their first dance. The remainder of their evening was a mixture of dancing, laughter and joy in the company of friends and family. I left them as the sun was setting over Sandhole Oak Barn. I’m sure I’ll be back soon.
