Scone Palace Wedding Photography

Siobhan & Ed returned to Siobhans country of birth for their wedding – the incredible Scone Palace in Perthshire, Scotland.

The Castle saw the crowing of Macbeth, Robert the Bruce and Charles II, so it’s a very fitting location for a luxury wedding.

I love the bridal preparation. But it’s even better when the groom is just downstairs, which makes it easier to catch their morning too. The groom preparation is usually pretty quick … but Ed and the guys were smart and relaxed when they finished.

As Siobhan and her parents and bridesmaids were putting the finishing touches to her makeup and dress, the groom was already welcoming friends and family to Scone Palace.

Yes, this is what we’re all here for, remember!

Siobhan was soon walking up the aisle behind a bag piper, ready to be wed to the smiling Ed who was waiting for her. That aisle moment must seen like it lasts a lifetime!

The ceremony was tearful for many, but the joy was there to see when they were finished!

The official signing bit was dutifully completed and they were officially man and wife.

They and their guests made their way outside to the beautiful driveway and took in the views across the 100 acres of Perthshire grounds. I soon took the couple away for their couples wedding photographs while the speckled sunshine poked through the trees.

Back at the Castle, it was time for the Wedding Breakfast and they made their way into the hall and we were announced by the piper again.

A fun and emotional set of speeches followed dinner before they carried out the remaining official duties of the day; cake cutting and first dance. A Ceilidh finished the evening off perfectly.

It would be lovely to hear about how you’re planning to celebrate your marriage, so please get in touch.
