Winter Wedding Photographer

Relaxed & natural elegant documentary style

Hi, and welcome!

Winter weddings are becoming more popular over time. It’s understandable why; the winter is such an amazing time of the year in the UK! With beautifully outdoor lit photographs and warming fires, your wedding will be a beautiful event.

Beautiful moments

Your day will be incredible from start to finish, as you take your marriage vows.

My day will be ensuring you have the most beautifully captured moments to remember it by.

Winter options

Winter has a surprising amount of low sunlight, with beautiful golden rays coming through the trees and a very early sunset.

However, lighting can also allow you to produce portraits outdoors which are unique to this time of year.

A few photos to start

I’m with you all day for your wedding, and will click my shutter around 4000 times from morning to evening – but don’t worry, you won’t get that many! I’m just trying to capture the perfect moments for you.

What am I likely to capture on your winter wedding?

Common questions

Above all … fun, Fun, FUN!

I really want you to enjoy your wedding photography, and having me join you on your wedding day. Gone are the stuffy approaches to photography, and in is laughter and love!

Most of the day I’m in the background documenting your wedding day, but I’m a confident individual, so I’ll chat to your guests to put them at ease and we’ll share giggles during your couple photographs.

The end photographs will be elegant, well composed and framed and show how much love there was for you, and between you.

Equipment and vision.

A photographers equipment is more important with a winter wedding compared with a summer wedding. They will need more lighting, but also they’ll need to have lenses and camera bodies which are more capable of photographing in very low light.

And vision is important too, because a photographer will need to think more about what they can capture in winter, compared with the summer.

For a full day wedding .. from the start to the end!

More specifically, wedding days are usually around 10 to 11 hours.

This is usually 2-3 hours before the ceremony to half an hour after the first dance. But if something exciting is happening later on, I’ll not ditch you … and I always check that we’ve finished everything before I leave.

If you choose a three-quarter day, you may choose for me to not cover the bridal preparation or the first dance. So, I’d either be there from the bridal preparation to the speeches, or the ceremony to the first dance.

After years of photographing weddings, I’ve developed a new sense; knowing which photos will matter to you.

I find the right amount is something over 400 photos. They’re all delivered in high resolution, and not watermarked. Uniquely, you get these in both colour and black & white.

If you would like one, you can also opt for a beautiful bespoke wedding album after the wedding.. but I find it’s better to see and feel your photos before deciding on this.

Of course you’d like to put a face to a name, and the same for me. I want to make sure I’m the right photographer for you.

I live near Warrington in Cheshire, and you’re encouraged to visit so we can get to know each other. If you can’t, we can make use of technology and do a FaceTime or Skype call.

For now, please get in touch by email or phone.
